A Massive Carving
back next

The huge slab at the spring is twenty-three feet long, fifteen feet high and weighs twenty-six tons. Cut from sandstone in the Tanchipa Mountains, it was hauled through the jungle, floated twenty miles downriver, dragged here and set upright. It collapsed at some point in the distant past and was re-erected in 2005.
